My Journey want everyone to get out and about and explore their local area on foot in October. So they've teamed up with the Go Jauntly walking app to help you discover local walking routes and challenges.

The Go Jauntly app is available to download on the App Store and Google Play and provides an inspiring collection of walks, both near and far. Download the app, pick a walk and take one of their challenges below for your chance to win their Walktober prize draw!

Each of the challenges has been themed around one of the NHS' 5 steps to mental wellbeing. When you have completed a challenge, go to gojauntly.com/hampshire/submit to be entered into Go Jauntly's prize draw to win a family pack of return Red Jet tickets - donated by Red Funnel. The deadline for entries is Friday 8 November. Good luck! For full terms and conditions, click here.

Walktober walking challenges

Connect

Encourage your friends and family to join you on a Go Jauntly walk

Be active

Build walking into your routine with a lunchtime stroll, or why not take the bus or train to work and get off a stop earlier?

Keep learning

Enjoy a historical or educational walk, or why not explore a new park you haven't visited before?

Be mindful

Take time to be mindful and notice the world around you with a nature filled jaunt.

Give to others

Why not take a neighbour out for a cuppa and walk, or you could even create your own favourite walks on the Go Jauntly app so others can enjoy them too. You can find out how to do this here. (iOS only)

Other walking opportunities

As well as walks in the Go Jauntly app, there are lots of other walking activities across Hampshire you can get involved in to help you get your steps up. Click here to explore local Health Walks and walking groups and stay tuned with all of our other upcoming events here.
