Wanted - people to trial an app

CareTeam is an app being developed with users, to improve communication and coordination for the care and support of adults in their own homes. Aimed at people with an increasing level of need, it’s a secure network that can include everyone involved in offering support. This network can include healthcare professionals, paid for care provision, as well as friends, family and people in the local community.

The support from friends and family is vital and often overlooked in the day to day ‘formal’ care networks. This app has been designed and built to include all the features required by someone with increasing care and support needs. It’s easy to use, allowing an ‘invited’ circle of trusted people to share important information such as medications, tasks and appointments in a secure platform.

Southampton City Council is looking for participants to continue to test and feedback on the app.  If you know someone who is living at home with increasing care and support needs, please pass on the contact details below.  Being part of the trial would mean a free licence for those involved and a £50 voucher for the supported adult.  The only requirements are to have a smart device with access to Wi-Fi or mobile data and to be over 18.

The CareTeam project is a digital platform, working in partnership with Southampton City Council, University of Southampton and NquiringMinds.
