Free Priority Service Register (PSR) from SSEN

Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks provide a free Priority Service Register (PSR); this is to register vulnerable people on their system. In turn, this allows them to highlight PSR customers when there is a fault, or if there are planned power outages. This alerts them, so they can visit them and check if any requirements are needed. There is also a free phone number whereby, once registered, they can call and not queue for a quick response to any worries about their power. Read more

Their dedicated team of firefighters, community safety officers and volunteers have a varied range of skills including British Sign Language (BSL) and are able to offer visits that are Dementia Friendly. They can give smoke alarm support for deaf and hard of hearing people. They can also give Safe & Well visits to give you home safety advice, especially if there is a vulnerable person in your home.
