Asthma UK provide access to the best asthma information and advice available through their website and their expert asthma nurse helpline, so if you or someone you love is affected by asthma, you can phone 0300 222 5800 for independent, confidential advice from friendly asthma specialists.

They can give advice and information tailored to you about:

  • diagnosis
  • treatment
  • managing symptoms
  • dealing with the side effects of asthma medicines.

You can ask questions via WhatsApp chat too or via email. What if it’s an emergency?

If you are having an asthma attack right now, or you can’t breathe normally and your reliever inhaler (usually blue) isn’t helping, call 999 for an ambulance. If you are having other difficulties with your asthma, please contact your GP. You can also call NHS Direct on 111 (for England and Scotland), or 0845 46 47 (in Wales).
