Cafe down the Lane Café down the Lane - A local skills enterprise Fresh delicious food prepared and served by people with learning disabilities Description The Café is for everyone! The Café offers excellent value for money and has a particular focus on encouraging vulnerable people with their carers/support workers to use this as a ‘meeting point’ where they are able to meet up regularly with others, reducing their isolation and loneliness. Local groups wishing to reserve a room for meetings whilst enjoying the benefits of the café are welcome, e.g. a breakfast meeting or regular event. The aim of the Café is to support local people with learning disabilities gain real employment and training skills and the apprentices are keen to serve customers and demonstrate these skills. When Mondays 1.30-3.30pm for Afternoon Teas Tuesdays 12-3.30pm for Light Lunches Services Café Down the Lane offers a range of affordable scrumptious homemade snacks, delicious drinks and not forgetting famous signature scones, freshly made in the morning by the apprentices!
