Other services and support Wellbeing and social Education opportunities CLEAR Adult Learning CLEAR is an approved Adult Learning Provider for a range of short courses which are primarily aimed at increasing the skills needed for work and volunteering opportunities. The majority of CLEAR courses are funded by Southampton City Council but they also have courses funded by the Lottery and Awards for All. As most of their client group have English as a second language, many of the courses have a high ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) element embedded in the course. A number of popular courses will be repeated at different times in the year. Fees They have a fee remission policy in operation so for certain eligible groups of asylum seekers and registered job seekers and those on selected means tested benefits, courses are free of cost. All their courses are subsidised for our client group with the support of funders and the price column shows these subsidised costs. However, they welcome enquiries and application to courses from all and operate a sliding scale of fees accordingly.
