Your local hospice

If you live in Southampton and west Hampshire, Mountbatten Hampshire (formerly Countess Mountbatten Hospice) is your local hospice. 

Mountbatten Hampshire are a charity which provides free care and support to people with any life-limiting illness, including respiratory disease, Motor Neurone Disease, heart disease, advanced dementia, respiratory disease and cancer. They also provide free bereavement and psychological support to patients and their families. 

Much of their work takes places in people's own homes across our community.

Bereavement support service

Anyone who is being, or has been cared for, by Mountbatten can access this service, including family and friends.

You can ask your GP to refer you to this service, or you can contact them yourself on 023 8254 8840.

Hazel Centre

This is open to day patients, their families and friends.

The aim is to help you to live well with your illness, and find ways to support you to cope with its challenges. 

You may be involved in one of their regular groups that meet there, or you may also attend an outpatient appointment.
