Medicines helpline

If you have any questions about medicines you've received from University Hospital Southampton then you can contact their free and confidential medicines helpline, run by their team of specially trained, experienced pharmacists.

They are happy to take questions from a relative or carer of their patients, but they can only answer questions that relate to medicines that have been received from University Hospital Southampton.

Some examples of questions that you might want to ask are:

  • When and how should I take my medicine?
  • Can I take other medicines at the same time?
  • Are there any possible side effects?

You can see answers to some common questions regarding the taking of medicines by viewing patient information.

Please note that this medicines helpline is for University Hospital Southampton (UHS) patients only, and is not an NHS-wide service. If you (or your cared for person) are not a UHS patient, then please contact your local hospital for advice.
