Rona Sailing Project

Operating three custom built sail training yachts the Rona Sailing Project runs week long sail training voyages for people aged 14-25. The aim of the voyages are for the young people to acquire a sense of responsibility, resourcefulness and team work.

A calendar of shorter voyages are run for groups for people with disabilities to play a full role in the running and sailing of the boats. To date the project has taken people who are visually impaired, deaf, young cancer patients and people suffering from mental illnesses to sea.

Each year one of the boats takes part in the annual Tall Ships Race where Amory Award holders can experience racing in numerous different countries and in some of the most challenging environments.
